Anti-Litter Signage

In an attempt to raise public awareness of the continuing litter problems in the area, LMRA has designed a new anti-litter sign which you will soon be seeing at marinas, public ramps and along roadways. We hope this will serve to remind you to keep litter in it's place.

LMRA has also scheduled this year's Lake Martin Clean-up for Saturday, November 2,2002 starting at 8 a.m. Below are listed contact areas where an area coordinator will be located to present you with a Take Pride in Lake Martin tee- shirt and provide garbage bags to put roadside refuse in. Dumpsters will be provide at these locations in which trash may be disposed

Area 1: (Includes areas north of Highway 280, Sturdivant Creek & Coley Creek) Fish Hook Bait and Tackle

Area 2: ( Includes River Oaks, Mountain Laurel, Columbine, River Bend Estates & areas accessed by Gold Mine Road & Peckerwood Road: Russell Ferry Estates) Bay Pine Marina

Area 3: (Includes areas accessed by Young's Ferry Road East & Old Susana Road: Manoy Creek Estates, Timber Cove, Driftwood, Smith Mountain area, Sandy Creek Estates & Quail Hollow) Sigger's Family Market

Area 4: (Includes areas accessed by Highway 34 West: Still Waters, Maxwell/Gunter AFB Recreation Center & Pleasure Point) Holiday Shores Grocery

Area 5: (Includes areas accessed by Mask Road, Center Port Road, Turner Road, & Moon Branch Drive: South Blue Creek) Walnut Hill Grocery

Area 6a: ( Includes Lakeview Drive, Kowaliga Bay Estates, McCain Road, Dogwood Lane, Castaway Island Road, Rocky Point Road, Sundrift & Cherokee Heights) Across from D&S Quick Stop

Area 6b: (Includes Trillium Subdivision & Nero Rock Road, Camp Kiwanis Road, Squaw Ridge Road, & Lake Point Road) Kowaliga Vol. Fire Dept.( dumpster location ) &Holly’s Ponderosa ( contact point )

Area 7a: (Includes the Real Island & Parker Creek Areas) Real Island Vol. Fire Dept.

Area 7b: (Includes Coosa Co. areas accessed by co. rds. 20 & 24) Equality Vol. Fire Dept.

Area 8: (Includes Willow Point, Wicker Point, Wind Creek Farms, Cedar Creek Rd., Liberty Church Rd., Pitchford Hollow Rd.) Ourtown Vol. Fire Dept.

Area 9: (Includes Windermere/Windover Subdivisions, Dixie Sailing Club, O.Z. Hall Rd., & Governor’s Island) Windermere Vol. Fire Dept.

Area 10: (Islands, shorelines in the Kowaliga area, Sheriff’s Annex) Kowaliga Boat Ramp
