Though
predictions of bad weather threatened
to put a halt to the 12th Annual LMRA Lake Martin
Clean-up, the rains held off and Saturday morning
was greeted by the smiling faces of hundreds of
volunteers around the lake anxious to do their
part to keep the Lake Martin area clean.
People
arrived bright and early at the nine
area locations to pick up their t-shirts, sporting
the new clean-up logo, and grab a handful of trash
bags to fill. Refuse varied from rolls of wire,
wood scraps, and food containers to old tires
and even a refrigerator or two. None of this would
have been possible without the volunteers and
sponsors who generously donated their time and
services.
We
